Marisol Lauffer received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Reed College in Portland, Oregon and later received her Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa while doing work in comparative cognition with Edward Wasserman. She has done behavioral work with rats, pigeons, mice, and amphibians. Her research projects have included those in behavioral economics, social reinforcement, categorization, decision-making, and developing animal analogs of human behavioral tests.
